Jim and Ken do DC

Last weekend Kim and I took a romantic getaway to our nations capital. We did lots of awesome things like party with underage kids, sing karaoke, and go prom dress shopping.
Thanks to Washington DCs elaborate bike path system, we convinced Kim to ride a bike and went on an ultimate tourist sightseeing adventure.

Kim did a truly impressive imitation of the Washington Monument.
Then I touched it.
We were so inspired by the American spirit we has to burn off some of our energy. I rode laps around the reflecting pool.
Kim did push ups on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
Then we did some stretched and celebrated the home state of our daughter Melissa.

In closing,
AMERICA!

Mary Kate? Is that you?

I was trying to figure out what I wanna do with my hair for the wedding next week so I turned to my best bud, the internet. Luckily he didn't let me down. Finally, I can leave 52w14 with confidence and my own true identity.

Hoboken ain't no Joke('n)

Today we went to a pool party in Hoboken--the best place ever. We got to the pool party three hours early and didn't know anyone except our skee ball coach (Jerry Juice!). To make up for our early arrival and lack of friends we brought a ton of pool toys and our best pool attitudes and tricks.

We played the game where you jump into the inner tube.

And then I impressed everyone with my good looks. (You might notice the striking similarity between me and the blow-up crab. You might know the blow-up crab from our last Lost party)
At some point Lex got into a blow up turtle (which she stole from the building's pool storage room) with leg holes meant for 4 year olds and crossed the dangerous "no horseplay in the pool area" line. She was terrified and apparently almost drowned.
Sadly, everyone was doing their own thing...I was drunk and confused.

Sean was relaxing in his homemade neon pool hammock.

Jerry Juice! was being awesome.
Thankfully apparently being a dumbass in the pool = being popular at a pool party so soon enough --> FRIENDS!
After all the fun in the sun a nice little thunderstorm rolled in so we decided to take a break inside where Lex entered a Tetris competition. She was so into the game that she failed to notice that her soulmate was just a couple feet away--a man who loves America as much as she does.
Luckily, we've invited ourselves to all future pool parties in the greater Hoboken area so I'm sure they'll get together eventually.

Summer Rules.

There no such thing as no noodles allowed.

Tomorrow Lex and I are going to a POOL party. Today we went out to BK to help our friend B make some pom poms for her upcoming wedding. Before the festivities we went out to lunch where we decided to loudly discuss our plans to smoke some dope before we made our arts and crafts. Suddenly we hear some clearing of throats and "ahems" in the background....
BUT it was okay because we had all the new toys that we purchased for the POOL party we are going to tomorrow.

There are even more in the bags but we'll show you those in action at the POOL party that we are going to tomorrow.

Summer rules.

Sunday Funday

Today Lex and I were invited to a little BBQ in Madison Square Park. Initially we were just going to stop by but as soon as we got there we realized it was just like a hot sweaty Miami street fair---a tradition we hold close to our hearts.

After surveying the scene we knew we had to find the man we’d come to see-The one, the only, Mitch Cynamon. Of course, Mitch had all the ins and invited us to the super fun lets-give-you-everything-for-free section.
While Chris and I were left to take advantage of the open bar and people watching, Lex and Mitch took a trip “backstage” and returned with the goods—about 200 free dollars of dead animals.
Everyone stepped up to the plate (pun!) and took advantage of some scrumptious BBQ.

The copious amounts of meat and margaritas were delightful but since it was a gorgeous sunny day in the city we decided to go play in the grass for a while. It might have seemed like the end but then we reminded Mitch over and over and over that he could cut the whole line at the Shake Shack and get Lex a free shack burger in 5 minutes--it was truly a magical moment. Finally it was time to go home so we decided to energize for the walk with some of the magic hot sauce Texas Pete had given us earlier.

Summer is awesome.

Jerry "Juice Da" Man wit Da Pool

Jerry Juice invited us to a huge pool party rager.

It's gonna be awesome.

Ps: Jerry Juice, we're going to be arriving around noon to work on our tans before the party. Thanks, see ya there!!!!

It's Pick on Nerdo Day!

so nerdo comes over to do his laundry a lot and a couple months ago we played this trick on him where when he was downstairs we put a note on the door saying we went across the street be back in 10 minutes and he sat outside the door and had a long conversation w/ leroy through the door while he waited for us to come back....

today was no different from the rest and when he was downstairs we cut a hole in the chair he was sitting and well...lucky enough for u we got the whole thing on video.

***UPDATE***Kim and Jenn are currently cutting the blue masking tape and blow up octopus out of his hair while MMMbop is playing in the background.
UPDATE#2: he voluntarily sat in the chair again!!!!!!!

The refilling of the barrel.

my two favorite guatemalans (christian and andrea) brought me 3 bottles of ron zacapa rum to fill up my very special ron zacapa rum barrel.

we didn't have a funnel so of course alex put on his MacGyver hat and came up with this bright idea.

the rum is now back in the barrel and all is well again in 52w14.

cheers.

Goldphish Madlibs.

jenn brought home the world's most fun bag of goldfish...i(alexis) got to pick the words! we created a goldfish adventure..

Finn, Xtreme, and Brooke were playing hide and puke. Xtreme, who has more tomato than he can handle, hid in the puppy. Finn and Brooke looked for him under the poop and in the butt. "Jesus!" They heard Xtreme yell. "This is so smelly!" Finn and Brooke pooped to find Xtreme-only to find him cried with a mario kart(?). "Xtreme, you sure are phat" laughed Finn and Brooke.

#99!!!!!!

Dearest Fans,

There were times we doubted this day would come. There were times we feared our popularity would not last. There were times we were wrong—believe it or not we are at our 99th post. Now initially we just thought to pat ourselves on the back. For our cleverness, our intuition, and our undying devotion to all things 52w14. With deeper thought however, the obvious became obvious—we would be nowhere without you guys. You guys have been with us during the good times, the bad times, and the medieval times. Without you Leroy would be on the internet less, secret pizza would never have reached the level of fame it has, and 52w14 wouldn’t have been hit/knocked up as many times as it has. So, dearest fans, this one (the 99th) is just for you.

Besos,

Alexis and Jenn

Munchkin Escapes on NY bound flight

on our way home from the photoshoot we ended up sitting w/ this giant crew of awesome hardcore New Yowka's. they all loved leroy and wanted to think of sneaky ways to get him out of his bag. finally we came up w/ this master plan to just keep our tables down so he could stick his head and paws out. then, all the sudden he like weasels his way out of the whole bag and i grab on to him and then i realize hes not in my hands anymore...i thought he just got a seat behind me so i turn to the chick back there and im like...do u have my dog? and shes liek NO! and then they discover that he was walking down the aisle!!! (that is like SERIOUSLY against the rules...hes not even supposed to stick his head out of the bag) then all the new yowka's gathered together to grab him and make sure the flight attendants didnt see. it was a serious team effort and they saved the day!

they also promised to facebook me.

Get Lost

This past Thursday was the season finale of Lost, which means it was also our last Lost party of the season. Accordingly, lex and I transformed apartment 4A into apartment 4(even more) Awesome. There were bikinis, sea-creatures, tropical drinks, and palm trees.

Being the enthusiastic Lost party fans that we are, everyone decided to dress up for the gathering. Apparently some (aka the non-white person) took "island theme" a little differently and decided to dress like An Other instead of like a tourist at a beach resort.

Even the pups got in on the Action. (full pun intended)
As the night progressed the magic of the island started to take over and we were all a little frightened by a bad omen that appeared on our wall.
Being the watchful and responsible person she is, Alexis searched long and far for approaching danger. (Please note the beautiful palm tree that is a new permanent fixture at 52w14)
All of a sudden--there it was! The Black Smoke Monster in our own home!

As you might imagine, everyone was really excited to have a real celebrity at our humble little Lost party! (It was almost as cool as the time Jerry Juice came)

It was such a glorious night we were even immortalized in a beautiful portrait (Thanks Ariel) of the 4a Oceanic 6.
